RESPECT SWEATER

Part of a 10-piece fashion collection, crafted in collaboration with individuals from the Dutch rave scene, draws inspiration from scholarly research, interviews, and documentation spanning the underground party scene from the 80s to the present. Each release features two items with themes rooted in fundamental values uncovered during my research.

Respect is a fundamental aspect of rave culture, evident in how people treat each other: acknowledging boundaries, ensuring safety, and respecting the local environment. The graphic on the knitted sweater is a cut-out of a drawing depicting people of different cultural backgrounds respectfully shaking hands.
